Public transport

From the main station Bern Bahnhof (SBB) take tram 6 (Worb Dorf), 7 (Ostring), 8 (Saali) or bus 19 (Elfenau) to the stop Helvetiaplatz.

Car

Take the exit «Ostring» from the A6 highway (Bern – Thun) and drive via Burgernziel und Thunplatz direction «City» to Helvetiaplatz.

Berner Kunstfonds

The Berner Kunstfonds was founded in 1993 by the Association Friends of Kunstmuseum Bern, the Association Kunsthalle Bern and the Bernese Art Society BKG in order to jointly intensify and coordinate the relationship with donors and patrons.

The Kunsthalle Bern owes its existence to the initiative taken by the Bernese Artists’ Society (GSMBA, Bern section).

Kunsthalle Bern:
Kunsthalle Bern is a building under monument protection and we seek to ensure accessibility in the best possible way. The main entrance is accessible via a ramp or stairs. Inside the building, the assistance of the reception staff is necessary to use the elevator to the lower floor, as well as the wheelchair-accessible toilet. Please ask the staff at the entrance for support.

Kunsthalle Bar:
Please contact the bar staff for access to the wheelchair-accessible restroom inside the Kunsthalle building. The public restroom by the bar is only accessible through stairs.
