Jelly Sunday goes Kunsthalle Bern

Jelly Sunday is a monthly radio show on Radio Bollwerk. Airing since 2022, it has grown into a platform for music and has become a collective. It is bridging digital and physical spaces with a focus on active listening and creative collaboration. In addition to the the radio show, Jelly Sunday releases a monthly digital zine and music from both national and international artists. In connection with Olivia Abächerli’s exhibition at Kunsthalle Bern, Jelly Sunday will present a live broadcast from the Kunsthalle on 27 October with Radio Bollwerk, featuring radio-performances by skyte and IOKOI.

Eglė Šalkauskyte (skyte) is an interdisciplinary artist engaged in the online radio community. She curates the radio show Jelly Sunday on Radio Bollwerk and co-curates Like a Rose on Fribourg’s Radio TRNSTN, while also being part of the radio research group Radio Lab at Radio Bollwerk. Additionally, she co-curates the listening series Painless Listening at Kulturort Prozess in Bern. She works with her voice across various mediums, including musical releases, readings, and live performances.

Mara Miccichè (IOKOI), is a Zurich-based avant-pop composer and sound artist. Her work explores the question of who and what we are in an era of increasing disembodiment, blending physical and virtual realms to navigate the shifting meanings of identity in the digital age. Her debut album, Liquefy (2016), and her second release, Tales of Another Felt Sense of Self (2021), delve into these themes.
Mara has created installations, curated musical programs, and been an artist-in-residence at Moods Zurich and Berlin. She has received the Aïda Alliman Prize, won the audience award at the Zurich Film Festival for her soundtrack to Becoming Giulia, and recorded voice work for H.R. Giger’s film Dark Star. Collaborating with various theatre and film directors, she also creates video and installation work with videographer Michele Foti for fashion and design clients.
Mara is a co-founder of the music label -OUS and the multidisciplinary collective MADAM.
