Companionship Euphoria letter rading

Olivia Abächerli (artist; Bern), Isabella Beneduci (artist and academic researcher; São Paulo) and Line Rime (illustrator and artist; Paris and Bern) met at the Cité des Art residency in Paris in 2022. After reading books together and Isabella and Olivia returning to their home cities, the three began exchanging letters. These letters, often accompanied by drawings, document their respective political environments and social movements, as well as the entanglements of their personal lives within them – or how the personal is affected by and embedded in the political contexts.

For Kunsthalle Bern, they will do a public reading of such letters from Olivia and Line, while Isabella will correspond from Brazil with a live drawing, shared with Bern via screen. They would like to invite the audience of Kunsthalle Bern to bring their own letters and join Companionship Euphoria for an evening to read their letters by themselves or have them read by others.
